The Nesbitt House was built in 1880 by one of the early settlers of Byhalia.  The house is a grand Queen Anne Victorian, with gambreled roof and intersecting gables.  There is a full front porch supported by turned posts and a ornamental iron balustrade. The front gable has 4-lute diamond windows, and the roof eaves are boxed with ornamental brackets at the corners and above the windows.
